Hush: Anonymous Chat

Hush never asks who you are.

Start with one tap: no SIM, no phone number, no email address. You get a hush_id and a recovery key — nothing else identifies you.

END-TO-END ENCRYPTED
Messages, media and calls are encrypted on your device. The server only relays the sealed packet; it cannot read what is inside.

DIRECT MODE
Turn on Direct Only and your messages travel device to device, without passing through the server at all.

VOICE AND VIDEO CALLS
One-to-one and group calls flow device to device — no central media server in between.

INVITE-ONLY
People reach you through your invite link or your hush_id. Nobody can find you by phone number, because there isn't one.

EVERYTHING YOU EXPECT
Groups, channels, threads, replies, reactions, polls, photos, video, voice messages and files. Search your history. Available in 12 languages.

PRIVACY TOOLS
Disappearing messages, screen protection against screenshots and recording, safety numbers to verify who you are talking to, block and report, and account deletion from inside the app.

No ads. No tracking. We do not sell your data.

Recent changes:
Privacy and stability:
• Setting up a connection now uses only our own infrastructure — no third-party server is contacted for one-to-one messaging.
• Added a safety net for message delivery: if a direct device-to-device connection cannot be established, your message goes through the end-to-end encrypted queue instead of waiting on your device.
• Minor fixes and improvements.
