Well, all the problems I had previously had been solved. Great app, just needs an eyedropper for convenience really Edit: Ok now one of my animations only work when I'm connected to it, and the screen just freezes when it tries to load in device storage, can anyone/app devs help?

The app is brilliant. Lots of effort was clearly put into the app. I'm using this app with the Kmart LED Pixel Display, and I'm so impressed at what this app allows this to do for just $10. I love that you can save images/animations onto the device itself and then switch between them using the device buttons. On my S25 Ultra, the app is instantaneous and will adjust brightness and send images/animations to the machine with no delay. I'm impressed by the variety of the "Cloud Material" page too :)

I think the current rating of 2.8 is a bit harsh. It works well with my 64x64 matrix display, a good level of content available and the ability to convert images to pixel is good. Some bugs exist, but it seems to be in constant development which is great. One thing I'd love would be the ability to convert GIFs into animations.... then it would be 5 stars. Good app which I hope becomes great 👍

This is more of a review of the app than the PaintX screen (I bought the 32x32 version during vacation on a whim. The color balance is poor and unchangeable, but that's another story.) The app itself is fairly easy to use and functionality is good. HUGE pain is the use of 3 different color pickers - in the editor I cannot pick a color in the palette close to a solid RGB, only the 7 predetermined swatches work. EDIT: circle on palette picker does not get close enough to corner, on iOS it does.

THERE'S A REASON KMART HAD THESE DISCOUNTED TO $5 EACH. App won't display custom images or animations, after a while it crashes (on an s24U) and color selection is very basic if you change color you cant go back to the previous color you used unless its one of the presets... had high hopes for this but its disappointing

The device itself has actually responded instantly and worked pretty much flawlessly, but this app isn't very good. I wish it was less restrictive and had more advanced features, and I really dislike the process of creating pixel art in the "creative graffiti" mode. You can choose any RGB color, BUT you can't input RGB values, you have to use a color picker thing. On top of this you can't change the color palette or save colors. I just wish you could control it in a more advanced & free way
