Having had a terrible experience with Apple green earlier, I tried Instavolt for the first time. One charger didn't work, but once I moved my car, the second charged to 97% with no issues. The only negative, is that the app takes £20 from your card on PAYG immediately, which is you then failed to charge your car, I'm not sure how you'd go about getting it back!

Gives you nothing over using contactless. Installed the app expecting to be able to access a cheaper rate than the extortionate 85p they are wanting via contactless but no, same rip off price AND you have to preload your account so contactless appless would have actually cost me less! Also, the app does not tell you the rate you will be paying, so it's not till you start charging that you realize you've been ripped off as now they also have all your contact details. This industry needs regulation

Absolute Wreckage. This app stole 40 pounds off me in registration fees by making me sign up twice, and then the charger wouldn't even charge my car. Then the "customer service" agent pretended the problem was my car, so I went and charged (without a hitch) elsewhere. How wonderful to see that the EV revolution has been turned into just another opportunity for predatory businesses to rip us all off.
