The Instavolt App runs alongside our contactless payment option and provides another simple way to access our award winning DC Rapid Electric Vehicle charging network. In addition to the functional benefits the App provides (i.e. location mapping, navigation and VAT receipts), customers using our EV charging App are given exclusive access to the following rewards programs, which are not available to those using our contactless payment option.

I thought I read off-peak rates were till 0800 not for me, it wasn't, but the app is excellent for a first time user

Update: The app is still not perfect, but the chargers are, they always work. They are always fast and at night they are somewhat reasonable price wise. The service is great, but the app is a bit slow and clunky. It's not as easy to navigate as others and sometimes didn't update an ongoing charge for a good 4/5 mins. But the actual chargers, speed and service are great it's just the app that feels lacking

One of the best, quick, cheap EV charging point. After trying several others, I can confirm that InstaVolt is the BEST. APP is easy to use, easy to top up. And you also get points to use towards charging. I'm also glad to see that no cables have been cut down.

Do not use, absolute rip off, have to pay an authorization fee which is extortionate and then pay electric on top of that, I used over the weekend for 30 mins and had to pay out over £70, no wonder people say rip of britain

Awful, charged my card, but then I wasn't able to charge my car, but they still have my money - shocking!!!

App worked fine for a while then it logged me out, and I cannot log back in. Instavolr is the single most expensive EV charging anywhere - it's more expensive than petrol. Because I can no longer use the app, I have to tap my card and be charged £45 which Instavolt hold for several days at a time which I cannot afford and prevents me from being able to charge again at times.

Gives you nothing over using contactless. Installed the app expecting to be able to access a cheaper rate than the extortionate 85p they are wanting via contactless but no, same rip off price AND you have to preload your account so contactless appless would have actually cost me less! Also, the app does not tell you the rate you will be paying, so it's not till you start charging that you realize you've been ripped off as now they also have all your contact details. This industry needs regulation
