The JBL Eon Compact speaker would not be near as good without this app. With the app, you have access to a five band sweeping parametric equalizer, saved settings, and more. In a reverse of the typical situation, the app is easier to use than the physical knobs on the speaker because of their, uh, suboptimal design. I would not be happy with the speaker if not for this app. I use it on both Android and iPad. The sliders can be a bit hard to adjust because sometimes they're laggy thus 4 stars.

Come on, JBL, I know this is a problem Android have given you, but for the sake of your users fix it now! This app uses Bluetooth Low Energy to scan and control the speaker. BLE requires location permissions to work. Android removes permissions from apps which have not been used recently. Removal of the location permission from the JBL app causes it to stall on search for speakers, saying "This app only works with JBL Compact One". Better written apps ask for renewal of their permissions!

This app didn't work but the JBL pro connect app did work with my eon one compact. This one would pair but the gain sliders would not move. This app is useless but the pro connect one is decent.

When I updated my jbl eon one compact speaker firmware and open JBL compact connect I could not turn the volume up why ? I want you to fix this.
