My apologies to KDK for a previous 1-star review. The app works as it should now and is reliable. It took a while, but it all boils down to the way you set up your router. Wi-Fi boosters with multiple ssids are a no no. You need a mesh network Wi-Fi network that you can expand and run on the same SSID. Set the frequency to 2.4htz if the default is 5htz. Once your Wi-Fi can link to the fans, then set up the KDK app. I use a tablet as my remote now as start up is immediate. Cost of 1mesh same as control

Doesn't work with Google home, but it works and helps with my very sensitive remotes. When I use the remote, I have to really point at it, otherwise it turns on/ off both fans in my living room. It works. And I find Google home is nothing necessary, and I don't quite like to Google home. So this is a 5 star for me. Helps with the sensitive remote control. In a nutshell, I find this app very underrated. You might think otherwise but this is my honest review.

Does not work, cannot pair to the fan. Do not purchase if you're looking to set up a smart home. You're better off purchasing non-smart ceiling fans and buying separate IR blasters to make them smart home compatible.

The app doesn't work. The instructions to connect your fan to Wi-Fi don't work as well. The whole Wi-Fi enabled ceiling fans is a gimmick if the Wi-Fi capabilities don't work at all. Don't get this brand if you want a smart home.
