The monthly payment is definitely worth it. I live in a remote location where the wait list for a family doctor has been a year+, a nurse practitioner, still on the waiting list after 7 months. This app, lets me avoid 12+ hours of waiting for basic healthcare. The care provided, has been exceptional. I am glad that I am able to pay for this service because I am not happy with the way the healthcare system has failed Canadians.

With BC’s shortage of family doctors and long hospital wait times, Maple is a great alternative. Being able to consult a healthcare professional from home saves time and may help reduce unnecessary ER visits, easing the burden on an already stretched healthcare system. Virtual care can’t replace in-person treatment when needed, but it’s a more convenient and efficient way to access healthcare when possible.

I find Maple quite easy to use once you've done it a couple of times. The service is good I get my meds refilled blood work done follow up is easy and professional. It's better than waiting in the ER or walk in clinic.

I paid for the subscription, I paid for an appointment, they canceled. Completely shot me down with no alternatives offered. At this time, my last Dr shut down his practice, the next place I was going to attend is currently on strike, so I haven't been able to get in. I just needed an in-between until I could get proper in person service. For myself, these people are cold. What is a guy supposed to do? I can't even pay to play right it seems.

This app has turned somewhat predatory. Charging 80 dollars a month, no option for a per visit charge. The physician refused to help me as he said an ear infection required in person exam. I had years ago been prescribed antibiotics and drops through the same app. When I mentioned I was nowhere near emergency services I was directed to a clinic 600 km away. Might be useful if your province is paying for the service, if you have to pay yourself be advised you can end up paying for absolutely zero

Every time I’ve used Maple, they end up telling me to go in person instead of actually helping virtually. What’s the point then? Most of the interaction is just texting, and it feels rushed and scripted. The doctors don’t show much empathy and often don’t even seem to read my history before giving advice. For a service that’s supposed to be convenient virtual care, it feels more like a barrier than a solution.
