* From 25/10/2021 the trial of our Scan & Shop service will end and the app will no longer be in use. We’d like to thank you for taking part in the trial - the feedback provided will be used to improve ways to shop at Morrisons, both now and in the future.
* Morrisons Scan & Shop is currently available in a limited number of stores. You can check store availability within the app or alternatively by visiting our support site.
Our Scan & Shop app lets you scan your groceries using your phone as you complete your shop. It’s a quick and easy way to shop for groceries, meaning you can pack your items as you head round the store.
The app lets you keep track of how much you’re spending too, meaning you’ll know exactly what to expect when you reach the checkout.
How it works:
- Scan your chosen items using your phone and pop them into your carrier bags.
- Once you’ve finished your shop, head to any Self-Scan Checkout to pay.
- You don’t need to unpack your shopping once you reach the checkout. Simply follow the instructions on the app to complete the payment process. You’ll also be able to weigh any loose items at this point.

Lovely fresh cooked food is lovely pies are great value too...always clean and tidy no bother or hassle staff always busy not standing around... I actually do most of my shopping in Morrison now after always sticking with and using Tesco...

According to Morrison's website there is only one store in the UK that you can use their scan & shop app in, and that's York - Foss Islands Road (nowhere near me!) So my review is only for the registration and setting up... The registration and setting up was quick, easy and painless. As for using the app, I have no idea how well it works! So to be fair I have given the app 4*. I would have given it 5* but I feel they should have rolled it out to more stores before releasing it for general use.

I'm literally in a Morrison's store and the app disagrees because only one exists, apparently. Why even have this out?

Brilliant concept, stupid development. This is an app every customer wants. To be able to scan the price of items without having to wait around for staff to do so. Would have been great but only a few selected stores do this (none in my area) and now they are removing the app! Well I hope they keep this barcode checker because there are always a bunch of items in store with the wrong price! It's the reason why Asda is my main shop (oh, and they have a working barcode scanner app too)
