Description

There's a stage between always being with you and being ready for a smartphone. Sidekick is built for that stage — the years before a smartphone.

It's a simple device designed for the late primary and early high school years. No screen. No apps. No social media. Just calling, a gentle check-in nudge, and GPS location sharing — all managed through this app.

How it works: Your child's Sidekick has three buttons. The front button calls their contacts in order until someone answers. The top button sends a quiet "please call me" nudge — to Contact 1 with a single press, Contact 2 with a double press — for when they'd love to chat but know you might be busy.

Location sharing: When your child heads to a friend's place, one press sends their location straight to your app — their way of saying "I'm here, I'm safe." That's their call to make, not yours. You can also check their location through the app whenever you need to.

You set it up: Through the App you add up to 5 trusted contacts, see your child's location, and manage their subscription. That's about it.

What it doesn't do: No internet. No social media. No app store. No way for your child to add contacts without your approval.

Requires a Sidekick device and an active subscription. Available in Australia on the Telstra network.
