Description
"Accept contactless payments using just your smartphone with NatWest Tap to Pay on Android – no card readers, no dongles or plug-in gizmos.
With your Android smartphone, connected to your Tyl by NatWest account, your business is all set to start taking contactless payments. You can welcome debit and credit cards, Google Pay, Apple Pay and other digital wallets – just like a regular card machine, but without the expense.
No extra tech to juggle, no card reader hire fees to cough up, just your phone and your customers making happy contactless sales. Chip & PIN sales, too.
You will need a Tyl by NatWest account to use Tap to Pay, but we can get this set up in a few simple steps after we’ve asked you some eligibility questions about your business. Head to tylbynatwest.com/get-a-quote to join Tyl.

No cards worked with this app. There was no response, and we tried three different cards. I tried ringing the helpline. The technical team refused to help because I am not the person who set it up. I then used the chat helpline and the assistant immediately said that the NFC is on the back of the phone with Android. It worked! This needs to be more clearly explained when setting up though. It would have saved hours of trying.

Didn't seem to work with the Pixel 8 but after discussing with their support team I discovered the developer options need to be switched off on your phone to pay the security check. Works fine after that change.

I can open the app of my android phone after installation and keep saying your phone does not comply with security checks. What is this supposed to mean?

Doesn't work half the time and every time I log in it struggles to verify my phone for the security check

Continually refuses to open. Making the mistake of choosing this app as a payment method for my business has cost me a lot of money. I've the most up tomdatw version of the app, running on a OnePlus 12T. I advise people to think very carefully before relying on Tyl.
