This was the perfect solution for us. I use the app with the Smart Splitter to optimize scheduled charging with 2 EVs. One of them is a Volvo XC60 plug-in hybrid that does not have native scheduled charging. The latest update allows us to schedule the charging via the splitter, so now we can plug in the charger when we get home and know that charging will not start until the time we have scheduled via the app. We have been using the Smart Splitter for 6 months now and love it.

The hardware is great. The app is mostly superfluous, and doesn't really offer any additional benefit. But, lucky for you, in January they will start charging $80 a year to access the app.

App keeps crashing, won't open. Tried to uninstall and reinstall. No luck. Also doesn't follow schedule setup and woken up to cars with no charge on them. Love the idea but app has a lot of bugs and the unit overrides percentage of charge setup and automatically drops it 50% max charge.

In general the device that this application supports is quite interesting. Getting the hardware installed is easy, but the app appears to be buggy. I am unable to select a utility or an electrical rate, but would be happy simply putting in only a rate but neither selection works. Secondarily I am unsure if the problem lies with Neo Charge, or the company they partner with for reading vehicle status, but that linking process fails to authenticate. I look forward to future improvements.
