Red Eye is less of a cab app and more of a mystery tour service. Need to get home? Don’t worry, the app will graciously drive you near your house, then heroically U-turn back to campus to pick up more passengers, before deciding you probably deserve to see the same road three more times. Efficiency at its finest. The routing algorithm? Pure comedy. I swear it was designed by a bunch of confused Roomba. My 5-year-old nephew could code a better algorithm in crayons.

The 2024-2025 version of the app was perfect especially when it came to hours of operation of the service and the drop-off location. There was wait time but at least it would drop me at my door-step safely. Now it drops me anywhere but my house/street. And it seems from this year, the operating hours have become even more limited. Might as well just close the service.
