Comments on Number Shield for Android

★★★★★ This app is perfect for blocking calls from an area code. I used to get multiple spam calls from an area code each day, but over the past week, I have gotten none. To be successful in area code blocking, I recommend inputting all 3 of these: +1xxx#######, 1xxx#######, xxx####### (where xxx is the area code). This app is well worth the price!

★★★★★ Super simple! Honestly I just added my area code and that has cut the robocallers by at least 90%. A few other area codes get in, but just add them to the block list. I went from 5 robocalls a day to maybe 1 every other week, as I add more area codes, the calls get less and less frequent. Enable it to see your contacts, and they will not be blocked by the area codes. Forgot to add, I've been using this app now for half a year. And I'm super happy with it!

★★☆☆☆ Stopped working. It was working good, but this week stopped blocking patterns

★★☆☆☆ Spam, tried all sequences but not working at all

★★☆☆☆ Doesn't block numbers specified with wild cards

Trust & Safety: The app requests telephony and contact permissions (READ_CALL_LOG, READ_CONTACTS, CALL_PHONE, ANSWER_PHONE_CALLS, READ_PHONE_STATE) and network access. These are typical for a call-blocking utility, but users should review permissions and enable them only if comfortable with access to call metadata and contacts.
