Offline File Toolbox: PDF — PDF, video and audio tools that never upload your file.

A common way to merge two PDFs is to upload them to a website. That is fine for a holiday photo and wrong for a contract, a payslip or a medical report. Every tool in this app runs on the phone, which is also why it works with no signal. And unlike a PDF-only toolbox, the same app also trims video and lifts the sound out of it.

Compression loses quality and the result cannot be restored to the original — keep your source file. Everything runs on the device: no file is uploaded anywhere.

WHAT IT DOES
• PDF: merge, split by page, compress, and stamp text on the pages you choose
• Sign: draw your signature with your finger and place it on the pages you choose (a picture, not an e-signature)
• Images to PDF: JPG and PNG pictures become A4 pages; JPEG photos go in as they are, not re-compressed
• Password: lock a PDF with AES-256, or remove a password you know (Android 15, or 12 to 14 with Google Play system updates)
• Video: trim between two times with no re-encoding, or shrink the bitrate
• Audio: pull the sound track out of a video into a separate m4a file
• Each tool says what it will do to the file before it does it
• A queue, so a long job runs while you do something else
• Your files, password and signature are not uploaded or stored anywhere

HOW YOU SET IT UP
Pick a tool and then the file: one PDF, several PDFs to merge, or several pictures. Before anything changes, the app says what will happen to the file. Press Run, choose where the result goes, and a notification tells you when it is done; you can close the app in the meantime. Nothing is fetched from the internet, so it works in aeroplane mode, and light and dark themes and large text are respected.

WHO IT IS FOR
Anyone who needs a file tool for documents they would not upload to a website.

WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
• It does not upload files, read text from scans (no OCR), apply a certified electronic signature or recover a forgotten password.
• No account and no sign-up: the only passwords are the ones you put on your own PDFs.
• No personal data goes to the developer. Google's ad SDK collects IP, interactions, diagnostics and device IDs.
• The free tier is paid for by ads: banner, interstitial, rewarded, rewarded interstitial, app open, and an “Ad”-labelled card in your job history. No interstitial on launch; a rewarded interstitial always opens with an intro screen you can skip. Paid members see none of them and no ad request is sent.
• Nothing of it stays pinned to your notification shade.



PRIVACY
The files you processed are stored on the device and nowhere else — the developer operates no server to receive them. Permissions requested: network state, internet, notifications, letting the ads library tell Wi-Fi from mobile data, restarting tasks after a reboot, vibration, keeping the phone awake while a task runs, buying a paid membership through Google Play and ads in the free tier.

LIMITS — honestly
• Merging, splitting, compressing, stamping, signing and password-protecting redraw each page as an image, so text in the result can no longer be selected or searched; removing a password copies the document as it is.
• Compression and video shrinking lose quality and cannot be undone — keep your source file.
• The job history and settings have no cloud backup; export one from Settings before you change phones.

This app reads NO outside data: it works only on the files you pick, on your phone. It does not copy them into its own storage, and the password or signature you give a job stays in memory only until that job has run. Nothing is sent to any server.
