Paper Trail: Receipts & Docs — Scan the receipt; it is sorted by type, and you file it in your own folders.
A receipt scanner and organizer should work without an account: read the text off the paper, translate it if it is in another language, and put it where you will find it again. This one does all of it on the phone.
Text recognition makes mistakes, especially on faded receipts and handwriting; check any figure you will rely on. Scanning happens on the device — the app does not upload your documents.
WHAT IT DOES
• Photograph a document or pick an image; the text is read on the phone
• Translate a paper written in another language on the phone, line by line as printed: download a language once (about 30 MB, over Wi-Fi), then it works offline
• The type is guessed from the words on the page — receipt, invoice, official document
• It is grouped by type automatically, papers it is unsure about are listed for you to check, and you can move any of them into your own folders
• A spending category for each receipt — groceries, fuel, lodging and more — suggested from its text and marked until you confirm it
• Monthly expense reports as PDF, CSV or Excel, totalled by type and by category
• Other currencies are converted only at the rate you type from your card statement; papers without a rate are listed apart, never guessed
• Searchable text, so a receipt can be found by what it says
• No account and no upload: the documents stay on this phone
HOW YOU SET IT UP
Start with one entry — say “Receipt · 14 March · filed” — and let the app keep count. It totals your documents and folders, summarises the period and produces the report you hand over; the only reminders are the ones you set. There is no network call anywhere in that path, so it works offline, in aeroplane mode, in light or dark theme and at large text sizes.
WHO IT IS FOR
Anyone keeping receipts for tax, warranty or expenses.
WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
• It gives no professional advice and makes no decision for you — it shows you your own numbers.
• It creates no account and uploads nothing: there is no server to sign in to and no sync to turn off.
• It asks you for no account. No sign-up, no password.
• No personal data goes to the developer. Google's ad SDK collects IP, interactions, diagnostics and device IDs.
• The free tier is paid for by ads: banner, interstitial, rewarded, rewarded interstitial, app open, and an “Ad”-labelled card in your folder list. No interstitial on launch; a rewarded interstitial always opens with an intro screen you can skip. Paid members see none of them and no ad request is sent.
• Nothing of it stays pinned to your notification shade.
PRIVACY
Your documents and folders are stored on the device and nowhere else — the developer operates no server to receive them. Permissions requested: network state, internet, notifications, letting the ads library tell Wi-Fi from mobile data, restarting tasks after a reboot, vibration, keeping the phone awake while a task runs, buying a paid membership through Google Play and ads in the free tier.
LIMITS — honestly
• Totals reflect exactly your documents and folders: what you left out is not counted, and the app has no second source to notice it with.
• Rates, limits and prices set by others are typed in by you, not shipped with the app, so the answer keeps up when they change.
• Your records are never copied to a cloud — that would be someone else's computer. Take the Settings backup before you change phones.
This app reads NO outside data: every figure it shows is calculated from the records you enter. Your records are stored on your phone and the app does not send them to any server.

Recent changes:
• Translation now keeps the paper's lines: each line of a receipt is translated on its own, so items and amounts no longer run together.
• In the reminder settings, hour and minute sit side by side and the number of days has its own row, so a label no longer breaks onto two lines when you clear a field.
