June 6, 2025, Pixel 8a Something bad is going on. I cannot make phone calls with the app. Good Wi-Fi, nothing, cell connection, nothing. Uninstalled, reinstalled, restarted the phone, nothing. Power the phone down, nothing. It's just useless. Before the last update I liked it. Now the app does not ring when I get a call, and it doesn't start when I connect to the Wi-Fi. I wish I could reinstall the previous version.

Works well. One complaint, I wish I could set the Ooma app to open the Keypad by default instead of Contacts. Often, numbers I dial would never be in my contacts, so it just adds more clicks to make a call.

Difficult to tell if I'm on the ooma landline or on the Wi-Fi cellphone call. I pay by the minute for the cellphone call, but for me the ooma Wi-Fi voip is no charge, which is real good. Sometimes a bad echoey connection but otherwise ok.

Nice app. Only bother is that it locks sound on my phone. Music player appears to play, but no sound. When closing the ooma app sound appears.

Requires access to contacts, this is new behavior. I'm already paying for phone service. I don't want my contact list sold to the highest bidder. This should be optional. It's a phone to call phone numbers. I'm fine with just dialing the number without Ooma knowing their contact details and everyone else I have in my contacts.
