I was skeptical about PolicyBazaar service after going through many recent reviews. However, I was left with limited options due to lockdown restrictions in my area and urgency to obtain the insurance. The experience overall in the website was good as usual but since my car required self video inspection, I was a bit nescient about the process. I installed this app, followed the instructions as given in the demo video and recorded the video in an open area to always get the car in frame. My video was just under 5 minutes in length while I got a mobile overheat warning in the 2nd minute itself. Nevertheless, the video uploaded flawlessly and exactly 4 hours later my policy was issued. On deeper inspection of the functioning of the app, I realized the app does not actually capture the video through the camera but rather it records the screen while the camera does its job. Hence we get the overheat warning. I guess the developers can sort out this minor issue with an update. Nevertheless, this app is intuitive and user friendly even for a novice and most importantly it gets the job done. Thus, I would nonchalantly give 4 stars for this app (June 2021) Based on my current experience and as well as those in the past, I would highly recommend PolicyBazaar for obtaining and renewing vehicle insurance. The discounts and services offered are second to none.
