Description
Engage in learning science and math with the award-winning PhET simulations! Whether understanding atoms, exploring energy, or mastering multiplication, there is a sim for every learner. Perfect for at home, in class, or on the road, this app delivers all PhET HTML5 sims (over 75 sims) in one easy-to-use package.
Developed by experts at the University of Colorado Boulder, PhET sims are used by millions of students every year. The PhET Android app delivers these exclusive features: • Offline play: learn on the bus or at the park without a WiFi connection. • Favorites: pick your favorite sims and create your own custom collection. • Easy sorting: find the right sims for you. • Fullscreen: maximize your screen real estate for optimal sim exploration. • Automatic updates: get the latest HTML5 sims as soon as they are released.
PARENTS: Find out how much your child loves the learning experience through the lens of discovery. TEACHERS: Have your favorite HTML5 sims at your fingertips, even without internet access. ADMINISTRATORS: The PhET app is optimized for school use, so your teachers will be seamlessly up to date. STUDENTS: Tell your parents and teachers there’s an app that makes learning about science and math more exciting - and it’s only 99 cents!
Note: The app does not include PhET’s Java or Flash sims. In addition, although we are currently working on improving the accessibility of our sims, most of the sims included in this app do not include keyboard navigation or screen reader access. As accessible sims become available, they will be updated within the app.
Proceeds from the app support the development of more HTML5 sims. On behalf of the PhET team and the students whose lives you have helped improve — Thank you!
Recent changes: Updated sims and metadata for production release.

Although PhET HTML5 simulations work great in most Android browsers, including Chrome for Android and Samsung Internet, this great application allows PhET HTML5 simulations to work offline, so kudos to the developers for making that possible to Android devices! As a developer myself, I would just like to point out one flaw regarding the application. Some user interface elements do not play well with the Android operating system, and seem more geared to, and hence, biased towards a competing operating system. Specifically, this is the "Done", 'refresh' and 'mark favourite' buttons. Thus, I would like to suggest making different configurations for each of your different builds of the application, such that the user interface design of the build matches the user interface design of the operating system. For instance, you should replace the heart symbol with a star symbol in Android as the star symbol is commonly understood within the Android community as an indicator that elevates an item in terms of importance over other items. The heart symbol is not understood by everyone in the same way in Android, and essentially, these users who do not understand may, as such, be unable to fully utilise a feature that they paid for. May I also remind the developers that there are various reasons why certain consumers choose certain operating systems for their appliances, and the reasons are not limited to money alone.

Great simulations that help my physics students and I, discover on their own the otherwise counterintuitive concepts of physics.

Awesome app for visualisation of concepts and ability of app to allow you play around with multitude of parameters makes it very interesting. Please convert all sims in HTML 5 format as soon as possible.

Downloaded this app for one reason, Plate Tectonic and for some reason its the only program not on the app. I downloaded the app from the website page with the plate tectonic because the webpage wouldn't work. please update the app with the plate tectonic that your website says it should be on and I'll update the review.

Did not include Natural Selection - the one my instructor assigned. I only bought the app because the Natural Selection simulator didn't work with my Chromebook.

Waste of money. Not even 1% of the simulatuons available online using a plain HTML browser over a PC/ Mac for free are available through a paid app.
