I see some critical reviews due to this wallet being only for BTC. I, for one, hope it stays that way forever. I use the Proton suite because of its commitment to privacy and security without sacrificing beautiful and intuitive UI, and IMO, bitcoin is the only digital currency that fully aligns with the Proton mission. If you want to go gamble in crypto casinos and/or engage in meme coin speculation, there are plenty of alternative wallets out there to choose from.

I really appreciate that it is only Bitcoin. It's amazing that I can buy straight from my PC, It would be good to be able to buy from my phone. But I love how it is now.

Tried sending 110 dollars of BTC to another wallet of mine, it said that the amount was too small. You charge a fee per transaction, so why would it matter if I wanted to send that amount? If anything, you'd make more money doing so. Deceiving image of 60 dollar transfer in App Store image. 150 worked, but I don't agree with their minimums. It would have been 5 stars, because I do like Proton, but I don't think that's right, especially with the way it isn't easily known until you actually try.

Proton markets itself as privacy-first, but the experience tells a different story. Linux support is weak for a company targeting privacy-focused users. After changing my password, all sessions were logged out, and I got locked out of my own account. The recovery process restored access, but all my data was wiped. Years of data gone. Yes, they’re “very, very secure.” So secure that one mistake can permanently erase everything. Privacy shouldn’t mean zero margin for error.
