🔑 Not your keys, not your coins Proton Wallet creates your wallet using a BIP39 standard seed phrase, ensuring seamless recovery and interoperability with other self-custodial wallets, including hardware wallets. This also means you can easily import existing wallets or recover your Proton wallets on other services.
Your encryption keys and wallet data are protected with end-to-end encryption, so no one else — not even Proton — can access them. Proton Wallet makes storing and transacting with Bitcoin simple while encrypting all your sensitive data, giving you financial sovereignty and privacy. Proton servers cannot access your BTC and do not even know your historic transactions and balances.

I love this app, for my Bitcoin aliases however I would not use this as a primary wallet, I would much rather use Cake wallet or a cold wallet, for anyone in the Proton ecosystem I would definitely recommend.

I see some critical reviews due to this wallet being only for BTC. I, for one, hope it stays that way forever. I use the Proton suite because of its commitment to privacy and security without sacrificing beautiful and intuitive UI, and IMO, bitcoin is the only digital currency that fully aligns with the Proton mission. If you want to go gamble in crypto casinos and/or engage in meme coin speculation, there are plenty of alternative wallets out there to choose from.

Decent app but it's missing lock settings. The only option you get is biometrics, and I don't trust biometric locks. I'd rather have a regular password with letters and/or numbers alongside 2FA. I would use biometrics to unlock my phone perhaps, but not for financial services. This seems like extremely weak security. You guys need to add more to this.

Proton markets itself as privacy-first, but the experience tells a different story. Linux support is weak for a company targeting privacy-focused users. After changing my password, all sessions were logged out, and I got locked out of my own account. The recovery process restored access, but all my data was wiped. Years of data gone. Yes, they’re “very, very secure.” So secure that one mistake can permanently erase everything. Privacy shouldn’t mean zero margin for error.

This bitcoin sales wallet was the end of my years long great paid relationship with proton. Was trying to delete the emails attached to this wallet. Somehow my entire account was deleted. Then my subscription was deleted then they wouldn't help me. Then I was charged for another 2-year subscription. Yes protect contacted support MANY times.

Something is wrong. This app says I only deposited $500 of bitcoin when I deposited $800 worth.
