Keeping live train locations up to date for the entire UK network is data-intensive and keeps our servers busy. To keep the app free for everyone, Raildar uses a short live-update timeout in the standard version.

Subscription Details
Payment will be charged to your Play Store account at the end of the free trial
Subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours of the subscription ending
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time via your Account Settings (using the “Manage” button on the Upgrade page)
Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited once a subscription is purchased
Subscription fees are non-refundable; no refunds are given for unused time if cancelled

Awesome upgrade! I've been a user of Railcar for a number of years, (since it launched I believe) then a couple of years ago it kinda broke, and I uninstalled it. Back now and oh my word what a stunning upgrade - lots more integrated info on the network and the graphics are better. Seems much more stable too. 👌

Update: 5 Aug 2021. Still brilliant just using it to see when someone I am picking up will get to the station. I was looking for a rail equivalent of Flight radar 24 and found this. Its brilliant. Has details of freight trains and Eurostar.

This app does exactly what I want, but unfortunately it's poorly executed. The map is terrible, it glitches when zooming in or out and is almost impossible to use. The train icons are horrendous (needs an option to change them to simple blobs instead of giant trains!) and tapping on a train brings up a full screen dialogue box covering the whole map, which is useless and annoying. It's a great concept, and could be a really good app with a bit more work.

Map has stopped working saying no Internet connection, other information works ok. still not showing trains on map, does not center on my location.

It crashes, the train icons are dreadful and there is no ad-free option, but with development it has the potential to be useful.

Unusable, as soon as you try to zoom in or out the map just skips abouts 100 miles.
