Readlume: Magnifier & Light

A pocket magnifier and reading light for small print.

Readlume turns your phone into a clear, steady magnifying glass with a built-in light. Point it at a menu, a pill bottle, a receipt or the label on a jar, and read it comfortably. Large labelled buttons, a legible typeface and a one-hand layout make it easy to use, even with tired eyes.

A CLEAR LIVE MAGNIFIER
• Live camera magnifier with one-tap zoom levels and pinch to zoom up to your camera's limit.
• Tap the view to focus on exactly what you want to read.
• Brightness control: raise the exposure for faint print or bring it down to tame glare on glossy labels.
• High contrast, negative and gray views for print that is hard to make out.
• No ads over the live magnifier, ever.
• Snap the magnified view in one tap and keep it in your Snaps library to share, save to Photos or delete.

LIGHT WHERE YOU READ
• Switch on the flashlight straight from the magnifier for dim restaurants and dark cupboards.
• The Light tab turns your screen into a soft reading light. Slide from warm candlelight to cool daylight and set the brightness you like.
• Set the flashlight strength on phones that support it, for light without glare.

FREEZE FRAME AND FINE ZOOM (PRO)
• Freeze the magnified view, then pinch and drag to look around the still picture. No more shaky hands.
• Fine zoom with a smooth slider, plus super zoom that goes up to twice past the lens limit for the tiniest print.
• Focus lock keeps the focus fixed at your reading distance, so the picture does not hunt back and forth.

READING COLORS
High-contrast color modes can make letters easier to tell apart for many readers. High contrast, negative and gray are free. Pro adds yellow on black, black on yellow, white on blue and amber. Switch in a tap while the magnifier runs. Each Pro color can also be unlocked for an hour with a short video.

COMFORTABLE CONTROLS
• Make every button extra large for easy tapping, and show or hide the Light button.
• A 15-minute auto-off timer on the Light tab.
• Choose which buttons appear on the magnifier: colors, freeze and snap (Pro).
• Night red light for reading in bed without lighting up the room, plus longer 30 and 60 minute auto-off timers (Pro).

MADE FOR EVERYDAY SMALL PRINT
• Menus, price tags and timetables when you are out.
• Medicine labels, instructions and the small print on bills and contracts.
• Cables and serial numbers on the back of a router or TV.
• Electronics, sewing, splinters and other close-up work.
Readlume is a reading aid for everyday small print. It is not a medical device and does not replace glasses or a visit to an eye specialist.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
The camera picture is shown on your screen in real time and is never recorded or uploaded. Snaps stay on your phone until you share or delete them. No account is needed and no location permission is requested.
