SambaLite is a lightweight, modern, and open-source Android client for SMB/CIFS shares (Samba).
It is designed as a minimalist, reliable, and secure tool for accessing SMB shares on your local network – without ads, tracking, or unnecessary features.

SambaLite is a file client, not a system-level filesystem. It focuses on accessing and transferring files, not on providing a mounted network drive.

I'm not tech-savvy but quickly managed to connect to my Samba NAS and backup files from my phone. The only problem is that I can't select multiple files at once on my phone - it's either an individual file or a whole folder.

Can Sync to my Nas with no difficulty. I will just ask for a syncing interval as "not selected" so you just can "sync now" when you want. Thank you so much for your work! Thanks for the update! "Manual only" syncs will do the job. Another suggestion, a little bit more complex, I think, will be to add another section for "Your Folders Syncs" listing the folders that you have set up a sync, similar to "Your connections" so you can run your syncs straightforward. Really appreciate your work!

Scan, find server, click on server, then what? No accept button, no apply button. Script kiddies thought it would be fun to publish an app to waste people's time.

Doesn't support SMB1.0. I was attempting to share files with a Windows 98 PC. The computer name shows up and can be added, but can't share any files.

I don't see how to open a file using an external (android) app. Samba Lite's description claims it can do that, but the only file actions Samba Lite actually offers are Download, Rename, and Delete. If there's a way to open a file, it's not obvious, and there's no documentation about how to navigate the user interface. (I want to stream video files & audio files from my pc to a player app on my android device, which is what I expect "open with external app" to do.)
