I recently purchased the Sennheiser momentum 5, and I returned them. The sound and call quality are better on the number 4. The ANC is only slightly better on number 5. The transparency mode is better on the five, but there weren't enough changes or upgrades to warrant keeping the 5. Plus the 4 have different color variants now, and so I kept my black and purchased a brown version as well. The number 4 can be purchased on Amazon for $300. That is a much better deal!

Doesn't work properly on small-screen devices, like Sony Walkman. A tile with my headphones shown does not react on tap. Cannot open the menu for the headphones at all. I see that there are similar complains about impossibility to open menu for Momentum 4. Support is unreachable, since Poland is not in the list of countries from where they accept emails

If you have sorted your settings for Sennheiser anything, do not ever open these apps again. I decided to check settings for the first time in 2 years, it disconnected my BT mid-use, degraded the sound, I had to delete the old version of their app that they clearly "upgraded" (replaced) in order to reset the terrible reviews (last app has 2.7 and new is at 4.7). Download it, set you settings, and gtfo out. Don't sign up or save anything. Set and be done.

There is no way to cycle from ANC to ANC/transparency off to transparency mode when it's connected to anything other than your phone. The headset defaults to either 100% ANC or 100% transparency when double tapping on the headset. Pinching in and out will get you inconsistent changes where you can never get to both ANC and transparency being off and there are is no feedback to tell where you are on the sound profile scale without your phone. Please work on the UX of your device.
