WHAT IT DOES ON ITS OWN

Add your child with a name and a date of birth, and shary works out what is coming up over the next twelve months: reviews, vaccinations, official deadlines, seasonal things. You see the whole plan on day one, and you enter none of it.

In the UK that is over 90 rules, following the NHS schedule and the reviews in the red book. They arrive when they are due, not when you happen to think of them.

A FAMILY CALENDAR FOR TWO

Every appointment in one place, in a month view you both see: doctor, nursery, clubs, parents' evening. Whatever one of you adds is instantly on both phones, without anyone having to pass it on.

Weekly routines like swimming or music lessons have their own tab. You can also show your Google, Outlook or iCloud calendar inside shary, for viewing only.

You can hand a task to the other person with a swipe, or ask whether they will take it. You both see who took on and finished what, so the work nobody sees becomes visible. No points and no pressure, just a quiet view of how it is spread.

VOICE INPUT, FOR WHEN YOUR HANDS ARE FULL

Tap the microphone and say "milk on the shopping list" or "dentist on Friday", and shary files it in the right place. Ask what is on today and it reads the day back to you. The microphone only opens while you are holding it.

Do you help your parents or grandparents? Add them as relatives: appointments, medication, GP and emergency contact in one place, and everyone sees who is taking care of what. From 60 on, shary also reminds you of the flu jab, trip hazards, a medication check and drinking enough on hot days.

NO ACCOUNT, NO EMAIL, NO PASSWORD

You never sign up. Your household is connected by an invite code, nothing else. Health data is stored and transmitted encrypted, on a server in Austria. No ads, no tracking, no selling of your data.

WHY IT EXISTS

The idea came from my wife. She was the first to name what was going wrong for us. I did not understand it at first, because I thought we were splitting the work anyway. Until it dawned on me what it is really about: not the work itself, but having to remember it.

We use shary every day, which is why only things that actually take something off your plate end up in it.

WHAT IT COSTS

14 days free, you are only charged after that and can cancel any time in Google Play. After that one subscription covers the whole household, not each device, with a smaller and a larger size. Anyone who joins by invite pays nothing. Google Play shows the price in your currency.

If the subscription lapses, nothing is deleted. Everything stays visible and exportable, only new entries and reminders pause.

Recent changes:
Speak in any language: hold “New” and say what is coming up. shary creates it and assigns it straight away, for example “Task hang up the laundry for Mum”.

Own access for older children: connect a child when inviting. They only see their own appointments and tasks, add their own appointments and read the meal plan.

Meal plan from day one with quick, healthy starter ideas including ingredients. Children and relatives can now be deleted.
