Description by yzyy(from Google Play)
Snap to Calendar turns screenshots, photos and shared text into editable event cards. Read one appointment, or use Whole schedule to find up to 20 events in a timetable, poster or school letter. Check each event before sending it to your calendar, or keep it as a local to-do with a reminder.
CHECK BEFORE SAVING Review the title, date, start and end time, and location. The app flags detected date ambiguity, but extraction can miss details or make mistakes. You confirm each card before saving.
WHAT IT DOES • Accepts shared screenshots and text, camera photos and gallery images • Reads English, with Chinese available as a free optional model download • Hands events to your calendar app • Keeps capture history and local to-dos for free • Exports captures as .ics calendar files with Pro
BASIC: OFFLINE EXTRACTION Basic finds explicit dates, times and places using on-device rules. It is free and unlimited, and extraction works without a connection once any optional language model is downloaded. Crash and usage reporting are separate from extraction; Basic is not a switch that disables all network activity.
SMART: TEXT TO GOOGLE'S GEMINI Smart sends recognised text and date, time-zone and language context securely to our server and Google's Gemini AI to suggest event fields. It needs a connection and your consent, which you can revoke in Settings. Smart and Basic never upload your image. Our backend does not store the original OCR text. It temporarily stores extracted event fields to recover replies. Google's published Gemini API policy says prompts and responses are retained for 55 days for abuse monitoring.
WHOLE SCHEDULE: PHOTO TO ANTHROPIC'S CLAUDE Group snap needs a connection and separate, revocable image consent. It sends your chosen photo securely to our server and Anthropic's Claude AI to find up to 20 events. Our backend processes the image in memory without saving it. Anthropic says API inputs and outputs are normally deleted within 30 days; exceptions include retention for policy enforcement or legal requirements. Extracted event fields are marked for deletion after 24 hours. Automatic deletion usually follows within another 24 hours, but can take longer. You can turn group snap off in Settings.
FREE AND PRO Free includes Basic, history, to-dos and a one-time trial of 10 successful Smart reads. A whole-schedule read that finds events uses one trial read, regardless of event count. The trial does not automatically become a subscription. Free daily attempt limits share one counter per app install: ordinary Smart requests stop at 20 attempts; Whole schedule requests stop once that counter reaches 10. Failed requests and retries can use attempts without using trial reads, so daily limits can interrupt an unfinished trial. Pro is a monthly or yearly subscription with .ics export and up to 30 successful Smart reads per install per day, shared with Whole schedule. A separate limit of 40 attempts also applies. Daily counters reset at midnight UTC. Prices are shown in the app before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in Google Play. Cancelling keeps Pro until the paid period ends.
No ads. No app account required. Snap helps fill your calendar; it does not replace your calendar app. A report link is available in the app.
Recent changes: Clearer privacy and limits. The Smart and Whole schedule notices now say exactly how long Google and Anthropic keep requests, and that our server briefly keeps the event details found so a lost reply can be recovered. Because the notice changed, Smart and Whole schedule ask you to review it once more. The Pro screen now states the daily limits (30 Smart reads, 40 attempts, reset at midnight UTC).
