SpaceEars is the roguelite game to learn ear training with epic space battles! As you fly through space and fight sci-fi aliens, you’ll need to recognize music intervals correctly to progress. You progress by learning and by playing more.
SpaceEars seamlessly combines epic sci-fi adventures with functional ear training. As you fly and shoot alien ships, you’ll learn different notes. Use music to activate power ups and clear the stage!
Unlock new ships, explore new wormholes and defeat alien bosses. Play through roguelite levels and keep your progress as you face new levels and challenges, even if you lose.
Players will learn music intervals just as easily as learning game controls. SpaceEars progresses players through levels and musical lessons at a natural pace, bringing roguelite gameplay and ear training together in one amazing mix.
With endless mode, you will be coached to improve your musical ear as the AI learns which music intervals you need to drill more. From minor seconds to major thirteenth, your progress will be tracked and displayed on a graph, so you can monitor your improvement.

Space Ears is, by far, one of the most fun ear-training apps I've used. Ever! Its fun and simple game play is addictive, laced with humor, and has a beneficial impact. It accomplishes its purpose, which is interval recognition, and does so in a way that is highly engaging. If that is what you're looking for, give Space Ears a go, I absolutely commend and recommend it!

I used this app a few years ago, and it was great for interval training. SUPER helpful! I failed every part of my theory exam *except* aural! However, I'm now back in class and trying to pass and need to learn solfège... please add a solfège option!!

I enjoy this app because it is more engaging than most ear training apps. The difficulty level is customizable which gives the game lots of replayability. The intervals are also played with other music playing in the background. I like this feature because it is a bit distracting, and in real life intervals are contained within music, not typically played in isolation. As of now, this app focuses only on intervals, so it should be used in conjunction with another app such as "Perfect Ear."
