Leaving a review for those who experience issues with their digital tap card. Once or twice a year, for some reason the card stops working. "Bad authentication ". EASY fix! Go to the digital tap card, click remove from device, then click remove. Uninstall the app then reinstall it. Last steps are to log in and select "download to device". Your card and balance will be there. If you created a new card and did not remove it before uninstalling, contact support and ask for the balance to transfer.

I was doubting it but then I just tapp and it works. It's been working 💪 since. I recommend that your phone is up-to-date with its software updates. Also your phone must be NFC compatible. I have the metro tap app open on the manage cards with the one card on phone and just tap. It really works 💪 tap away hehe update June 1, I had to switch phones. Remove the tap card from old phone and downloaded it to new phone. Went on without a problem. Simple as 1,2,3

I load money to my tap card. Then, when I tap to board the bus, the farebox says there is an error. This is app is taking my money.

Worst app ever made. Bugs and glitches non-stop, can't add funds due to horrible payment system, no updates available. 0 stars tbh. You're better off getting a physical card and reloading at payment terminals than dealing w this waste of an app

Day 7 of not being able to use this app to reload the Tap card. Metro and TAP LA has had a massive cyberattack loss which has resulted in several system outages including the critical TAP service of adding fare to cards. This is a disaster and there has been no public announcement, no adjustment for the affected riders, no plan or timeline. TAP just says they're "working on it" but nothing seems to be happening. They should be treating this like an emergency but seem content to take their time!
