I called the Tele MANAS helpline expecting basic empathy and guidance, but the counselor sounded bored and uninterested, as if she needed counseling herself. There was no warmth or sensitivity, which is the bare minimum when dealing with mentally stressed people. When I asked how the counseling process works, I was bluntly told to go to a hospital and book an appointment, and that they only “take details” on calls. If the role is just data collection, that should be clearly stated.

On the first day, they ask you to book appointments and promise two 1-hour counselling sessions. But after that, no matter what situation you are in they don’t even bother to call on the scheduled counselling date...... There is no follow-up, no accountability and no professionalism. This is a low-quality app with poor service.... Honestly, AI-based apps are providing much better support and solutions than this. Very disappointing experience.

Worst service and useless investment by the Indian government. Today 23/7 11.27 PM I called MANAS, call transferred to my desired language Eng/Tel, that guy in sleeping mode, I asked him is he comfortable or not. He said as you wish. Immediately I disconnected the call. Call recording with me, where can I report this serious issue. TELE MANAS employees sleeping is important than public health. I am appealing to the government of India to shut down this service or maintain this service strictly
