When looking for an app that can read text to you from a picture, this is, in my opinion, the best one out there. It's FREE, no subscriptions that blindside the use of it. There are several options you can use, and it's very simple and somewhat adjustable.

A simple text-to-speech app that uses Androids built-in speech synthesis engine. Everything is neatly organized and presented well. I couldn't ask for more.

No SHARE from web to this app. If the text you want to read is too long for your clipboard to copy all of it. Forget it. It refuses to read Google web pages citing Error. Basically can only read copy-pasted text... Only as much as your Clipboard will allow you to highlight to copy. False to its claims.

No way to turn it off from reading a web page. If it hits an advertisement, it reads the advertisement for them stops altogether. I can't turn it off and anything I touch simply makes it read again until it hits the ad again. The instructions at hey Google don't work. I cannot tell Google to turn it off. I cannot move the webpage by well I got to see continued / pause button for read aloud. Phooey.
