Tezzo: Carpool & Ride Sharing

Tezzo is a carpooling and ride sharing app for intercity and outstation travel in India. Drivers going somewhere post their empty seats. Passengers going the same way book one, and everybody shares the cost of fuel and tolls.

You pay the driver directly, in cash or by UPI. Tezzo takes no commission and never handles your money.

FOR PASSENGERS
• Search any route and see the rides going your way, with the driver's name, photo, rating and price per seat
• Find rides that pass near you, not only ones that start where you are; the card tells you how far the route passes from your town
• Book a seat for yourself or for people travelling with you, and choose front or back seats
• Get picked up along the way: drivers list their stopovers, and you pay only for the stretch you travel
• Set a ride alert and get a notification when somebody posts your route
• See how quickly a driver usually replies before you send a request
• Chat with the driver in the app before the trip

FOR DRIVERS
• Post a ride in a guided flow: pickup, drop, route, stopovers, date, time, seats and price
• Pick a pickup point from popular meeting places near you: metro and railway stations, bus stands and petrol pumps
• Get a suggested price per seat for your route, so it covers your fuel and tolls fairly
• Post the same trip for several dates at once, handy for a regular commute
• Set a price for each part of the route, so somebody joining halfway pays for their part
• Accept each request yourself, or let passengers book instantly
• Share your ride on WhatsApp with a ready-made poster
• Offer extras such as luggage space

SAFETY
• Verify your identity with a government ID; the Tezzo team checks it by hand and verified profiles show a badge
• Women-only rides: posted by women drivers, and both the driver and every passenger need a verified ID
• An SOS button during a ride: call 112, call your emergency contact, or send your location to someone you trust
• Share your trip details with family or friends before you leave
• Your phone number is shown only to the people on a confirmed booking
• Rate each other after the ride, report anyone who behaves badly, and block a person so neither of you sees the other's rides
• Sign in with Google or Apple, and with your fingerprint or Face ID after that

HOW IT WORKS
1. Search a route, or post one if you are driving
2. Book a seat, or accept the passengers you want
3. Meet at the pickup point and travel together
4. Pay the driver directly and rate each other

Invite friends to Tezzo and unlock Tezzo Premium as they start travelling. Every reward is reviewed by the Tezzo team.

WHO IT IS FOR
Students going home for the weekend, people visiting family, office commuters, and anyone who would rather share a car than wait for a bus or train ticket. Drivers making the trip anyway, who would rather not drive alone and not pay for the whole trip. Delhi to Jaipur, Noida to Agra, Gurgaon to Chandigarh, Bengaluru to Mysuru, Chennai to Pondicherry, or any route somebody is driving.

WHY CARPOOL
One car carrying four people instead of four cars carrying one each is cheaper for everybody in it, and puts three fewer cars on the road.

WHAT TEZZO IS NOT
Tezzo is not a taxi or cab service, and drivers are not professional drivers. It connects people who are already making a journey. Money is settled between the passenger and the driver, outside the app.
