Reduced my rating to four. Why can't I write multiple paragraphs when commenting on news items? The enter button disappears from my on-screen keyboard, which is most annoying.

The developer has quickly responded to the issue I posted earlier and fixed the problem. Excellent support. The app on my Samsung phone has stopped refreshing itself. I get the exact same news items as the day before and refreshing in the app doesn't fix it. I have to clear the app cache on my phone to get the current news items.

The latest version of this app often takes forever to load the main page. This did not previously happen. A white screen shows with the twirling loading circle and takes a minute or more before the front page appears. It also occasionally crashes on our Samsung tablet, and suffers from the news taking minutes to load also. The latest app STILL has ongoing problems scrolling when there are images included in the article. This problem has been present since the new version was rolled out.

Two app issues for me: I don't like the disabling of "readers' comments" on some of their own articles. Is it to discourage discussion on certain matters ? Secondly: Pre flight I download "Today's paper". Use of the app during a flight off-line continues to lose "Today's paper" making it impossible to read what you had thought was downloaded and would be otherwise accessible off-line.

You pay a lot of money for subscription with early access to podcasts, but the podcasts don't autoplay the next, the layout feels like it is the first attempt, there is no link to Android auto, it does not restart where you left off. For news articles you can't get notifications for keywords you might be interested in - just categories- and these are so broad and so frequent I don't read any of them. It's 2026 - do better 'The Australian '.
