Description

TMARR runs a foreground service that automatically switches your display's refresh rate mode based on interaction state — downshifting on idle, upshifting on touch or button input. Fully configurable min/max modes, idle timeout, and boot autostart.
Features:
— Set max display mode (active state) from all modes your hardware supports
— Set min display mode (idle state) — as low as 10Hz on supported devices
— Configurable idle timeout before mode change
— Foreground service with autostart on boot
— Manual mode tester to verify supported display modes
— Developer options FPS overlay support
— Select per app refresh rate override, or for all declared games
— Select which inputs (e.g. touch, buttons, gamepad, keyboard, mouse, etc) should trigger the refresh rate

How it works:
Does not replace or emulate LTPO. Works by switching between your device's existing display modes when the screen transitions between active and idle states (touch/button input detection). No heuristics, no ML, no background polling beyond interaction state monitoring.

Practical use cases:
— Use smart refresh rate with a 90Hz ceiling instead of 120Hz
— Drop to 10–30Hz during reading, media consumption, or static display scenarios
— Select lower refresh rate for apps that display static content
— Restore auto rate-switching behavior on GSIs and custom ROMs that ship without it
