Tracing Projector - Tracewell

Put your phone on a glass above a sheet of paper, pick a photo and draw along its lines by hand. Tracewell shows the paper through the camera and lays your picture on top, half see-through. You trace, the app keeps the image still.

FREE, FOR GOOD
Trace drawing from your own photos is free and unlimited. No ads, no account, and your pictures stay on your device. The free version is the full tracing app, not a demo:
• Lock: image, focus and exposure freeze, so nothing shifts or refocuses while you draw. Hold for one second to unlock
• Volume keys change the opacity without touching the screen
• Mirror the image
• Flashlight for dim rooms
• Lightbox mode: lay the paper on the display and trace it like tracing paper
• Projects save where your image sat, so you can pick up the next day

WHY THE IMAGE STAYS PUT
Tracewell does not use AR tracking, on purpose: tracking is what makes a picture drift across the page. Here the phone stands still, and so does the image. Zooming scales your picture, not the camera view.

TRACEWELL PRO
Pro is a subscription, weekly or yearly. The yearly plan starts with 3 days free.
• Line art from any photo (Pro): clean outlines with a detail slider, the original is always one tap away
• Draw Big (Pro): split the image into tiles from 2×2 up to 4×4 for murals, walls and large canvases
• Labeled grid (Pro) for the grid drawing method
• Time-lapse (Pro): film the paper and get one video across several sessions
• Export to your gallery (Pro)

A FAIR TRIAL
You get a reminder 24 hours before your trial ends. Cancel any time in Google Play. There are no ads in the free version or in Pro, so nothing interrupts you mid-drawing.

PRIVATE
Your photos never leave the phone. The internet is only used for the purchase.
