We purchased our new Trane AC/Furness a few years ago and have had great local support and no major issues. It is great to be able to control the temperature remotely, especially where we live with the inconsistent weather. A couple of degrees makes a big difference, and you can't always go by a programmed schedule, so changing on the fly using the Trane Home app has been a game changer for us. I use the app multiple times a week.

Very pleased with new Trane ac. 4 months old. Variable speed blower is so nice, ramps up and down as needed. Runs smoothly and quiet on low speeds. The smart thermostat and app really useful in monitoring system, run history, and adjusting settings when away. Overall very positive so far.

If I could give zero stars I would. App doesn't work at all after latest update. Update: Trane did maintenance in the app again, and it no longer works. I have to disconnect and reconnect every thermostat. This is a terrible design as I am currently traveling and can no longer access my thermostats until I return home. Still zero stars. 5.10.26. App no longer working again. Spent 4 hours trying to reconnect with no progress. Attempted all online suggestions. No help on Sundays. Still 0 stars.

UX/UI is terrible. Frequent bugs, glitches, server issues. The only things you can program is time and temperature. You can't program schedules to include changes to fan speed, or whether the fan is set to auto, circulate, or on for each schedule. The app really needs to offer more advanced features. Programming schedules is absurdly cumbersome. Where is the scheduling UI update Trane has been promising for almost 4 YEARS? A nearly $50k purchase that I DEEPLY regret!

The app always says my system is offline. I will be replacing the Trane thermostat with a Nest because the Nest always worked well in my old house.

Contacting help@tranehome, hello@tranehome useless since install May'24. The App keeps randomly telling me "bridge disconnected" almost daily off and on. The App never stores history past a single week, month view is useless because it clears EVERY time you change the blower filter. Trane's solution for fixing the APP: require new diagnostic test on entire system which although entire HVAC is active warranty, service companies ALL have EXPENSIVE "trip charges" so it will never be fixed.

We purchased the highest level residential unit with all upgrades, very good but every 6 months without warming it breaks down, and it is down for 4 to 6 days, because the required replacement parts are not available although these parts require replacement on 50% of the units (as I am being informed). In Florida summers, down AC equals hotel cost, specially as we have seniors and in our case sick family member. I am sure Trane will post a feel good AI generated nice response.
