Not perfect but better than everyone else. These venstar thermostats are the only one that work without needing an Internet server in the middle, and give the user deep control over the thermostat headbands, and a long list of other features and functions of a smart thermostat. The app covers most of the functionality, but interestingly it's not a 100%. It works fine and looks good, but has a few quirks but none of them are really dealbreakers as the core functionality is there minus gimmicks.

Love it! Can turn it on/off before I get home. The house is nice and toasty or cooled down when I get home. I can also adjust the temperature from my bedroom without getting up! Best investment ever!!

The thermostat will not connect to my internet a second time after losing an internet connection. It will only connect once after restoring the power to the thermostat if powered off for furnace service. Then it is unable to reconnect to the internet.

New update won't let me schedule from 8pm till 3pm on web or app but still can at stat

No integrations with Alexa or anything else. I would REALLY like to see an integration with 'Smart Life'. Other than that, the app functions as expected. If they made these integrations I wouldn't be looking at the other thermostats.

Never, ever had a problem with this app. After the August 2924 update, it takes forever to get into my thermostats. It takes less time to go boot my laptop, open the PC web browser version, set my thermostats and log off. All while my Android phone app is still buffering. I have it happening on two different Android phones, all I get is the spinning buffer circle... BTW, it is still buffering while I wrote this review.
