Every time I want to check my balance it takes me to the update page and has me open it from there even though I had updated. Why?

I have the [WaFd Bank (2026)] version installed. I get a prompt that says must have Google Play Store open for it to work. If problems persist uninstall and reinstall. Which I have a few times. And it still doesn't work unless I have Google Play Store open. I don't want to open Google Play Store every time. The old green logo version I didn't have to have Google Play Store open to use the app.

Even though I updated several weeks ago I still get sent to the update before I can log in. why does that happen?

the same time period. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time before the renewal.
