Description
The PURPOSE of the application:
"WhatsHeart" provides heart rate tracking, provides a variety of audio statistics during training, records GPS-track, gives an analysis of recorded workouts. "WhatsHeart" is a unique application that provides continuous voice notification of heart rate, and which can work 24/7. For example, "WhatsHeart" can perform continuous daily heart rate recording.
IMPORTANT!
- "WhatsHeart" application is much more convenient and practical than the most famous applications of the same type! - the application works even when the screen of the smartphone is turned off or locked, or the smartphone is switched to another program.
REQUIREMENTS:
- smartphone with Android 4.4 and above. - BLE-cardio sensor (heart rate monitor).
KEY FEATURES OF THE APP
- real-time output of heart rate to the smartphone screen - alerts about heart rate beyond the selected interval. In this case, the alarm signal is given not only when the heart rate exceeds the critical value, but when the heart rate is below another critical value. Voice, sound and vibration alerts are used for signaling.
The application performs the following actions in real time:
- displays the heart rate chart. - displays GPS tracks on a Google map. - records workouts along with heart rate and GPS track data. - displays audio statistics "by time" and "by distance" (voice messages). To do this, the User creates one or more lists of the required parameters (pulse, pace, distance, time, etc.). During training, these values are periodically reported to the User. - fills in tables and graphs showing the distribution of training time by pulse zones.
The application also performs:
- automatic calculation of Max heart rate values based on age and heart rate at rest. - formation of pulse zones (Anaerobic, Aerobic, etc.). - calculation of calories in two modes: * based on heart rate. * based on the type of training using MET (metabolic equivalent of task).
ATTENTION!
- The "WhatsHeart" app is not a medical app. - The app "WhatsHeart" does not record the ECG.

The apps I've used to track my activities with heart rate do not have any audio cues/alarms for heart rate zone training. This is the only app I've found that will give me reliable audio cues! So far I've only used it for the audio cues while tracking my activities simultaneously in my other app, but it runs nicely in the background (without logging anything) and accurately calls out my heart rate cues! So awesome! I like how customizable it is with the audio cues and the built-in Karvonen training zone calculator is handy. I did have some troubles getting my heart rate monitor (Polar H10) to give a reading at first. It could be that I'm also reading heart rate with the other app which is causing confusion, but eventually I got it working with the right combination of starting the apps and HRM. I just need to use it more to get familiar with the best way to start my apps and HRM. So far I'm super pleased! I do have some recommendations: 1. Add a notification icon when the app is running. It would be nice to see an icon when the app is ON. Right now I only know if the app is on if I hear the audio cues or look in my recent apps. 2. For the heart rate alerts, in addition to the actual heart rate read out and the phrases, it would be nice just to have a short tone option. Essentially a unique tone that alerts you to speed up and one to alert you to slow down. The voice readout is nice, but a simple tone would quicker and less of an interruption to my music/podcast when I just want to know if I'm going too fast/slow. Thanks for the awesome app!

A very good app considering that it is free and there are no ads. I especially like the voice alerts. So useful not having to look at screen all my heart rate watch. It's synced easily with my Tickr chest strap. I also like the rolling graph though I'd prefer a full screen graph as can be seen on the sports gear tracker app. :)

App seems to stop working intermittently. Sometimes it works for my entire run - while at other times it stops registering HR after a few minutes. It could be a problem with my "power saving" settings. I have an OPPO phone and the power setting are a bit confusing. I normally run a music App and then start HATSHEPUT. BUt sometimes I start HATSHEPUT first and then the music pp, perhaps this makes difference? I will be more consistent in future and make sure I turn the power saving service off before using this App. The current version of the App that I have does already say to turn the power saving off - but I was not sure about what to do. I like the App.
