DropLane: Mileage Tracker

The mileage tracker built for couriers and delivery drivers. Get in and drive: DropLane records every trip on its own, then shows what the day really paid per hour, after fuel and costs.

Built by a courier with ten years on the road, for gig, package and food delivery drivers, couriers and anyone self-employed behind the wheel of a car or van. No start button, no paperwork at the end of a long shift.

RECORDS EVERY DRIVE ON ITS OWN
DropLane notices when you set off and when you stop, and saves each drive with its route, times, distance and every stop of five minutes or more. It runs in the background, with the app closed and your phone in your pocket.

EVERY MILE COUNTS AS WORK UNTIL YOU SAY OTHERWISE
Drives count as business unless you mark them personal. Sort any drive as business, dead miles, running to a pick-up or personal. DropLane even spots a drive that looks personal, like one that starts and ends at home.

SORT OR END A DRIVE FROM THE LOCK SCREEN
The live card on your lock screen and Dynamic Island shows the drive as it happens. Tap to sort it or end it without unlocking your phone.

WHAT THE DAY REALLY PAID
Log each platform's pay and every cost: gas, food, parking, tolls, repairs, with a photo of the receipt. See profit for the day, pay per hour, per mile, and hours on the road, moving and stopped. Add regular bills like car payments and insurance to see profit after everything. Pull up at home and a notification tells you the day's profit; stop for a while and DropLane asks if it cost you anything.

A MAP OF YOUR WHOLE DAY
Every working day gets a map shaded from morning to evening, so you can see the round you drove at a glance. Filter any range and share a picture of your week.

YOUR MILEAGE ALLOWANCE AND TAX POT
The IRS standard mileage rate runs against your business miles all year, ready for your 1099 tax deduction. A "set aside for tax" pot shows what to put by, and how much your mileage claim saves you. Built-in rules for 17 countries, or type your own rate.

PDF REPORTS FOR TAX TIME
Choose what goes in: miles by type, every trip with its route map, earnings by platform, spending by category, receipts. Add your business name, address and logo. Export a CSV too.

YOUR VEHICLE, SORTED
Odometer estimated from tracked miles, with a check that shows how many of your miles were recorded. Reminders before state inspection, registration, insurance and service. Log garage visits with the invoice. Real MPG from full tanks, and fuel card prices for your fill-ups.

No account, no sign-up, no server. Everything lives on your iPhone and in your own private iCloud. We never see it and never sell it.

Start with a 14-day free trial from Apple, then pay monthly or yearly. The trial is for new subscribers. Prices are shown in the app in your currency. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at the end of the free trial. The subscription renews automatically unless turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel any time in your Apple Account settings. Drives keep recording if a plan ends, ready when you come back.

LOCATION AND BATTERY
DropLane uses location in the background to record drives and motion activity to detect when a drive starts and ends. Continued use of GPS running in the background can decrease battery life.
