I previously used Avionics for years but after Garmin purchased it the price skyrocketed. I have now been using Argo Navigation for about two months, and I am extremely impressed. The Argo app is superior to Avionics in my opinion and the price is much more reasonable. A great little company that knows its business. Good riddance to Greedy Garmin!

I found this app is extremely dangerous! It takes you wherever it wants and doesn’t even know there are designated routes. Where I am, if you do not follow the routes, you will get bogged down in weeds or find yourself where you shouldn’t be. You MUST follow routes especially around islands. I tried this for the Trent Severn Waterway, and it goes through dams, rapids and doesn’t know there are locks. Maybe it's ok for open lakes but inland bays full of weeds and rivers with locks, forget Argo!
