At first I blamed Proton, but the same disconnections happened with Wireguard, then I blamed my ISP. Turned out it was that hellish app Battery Alarm by Zoran Vujocic that I had recently installed that was responsible for the disruptions. Uninstalled that devil app, restarted my device and no more disconnections. Apologies to all concerned.

Usually a new update improves an application. This VPN was working great but since I updated it this morning. The setting is downgraded. The Auto location for the VPN is no longer available. Plus the setting is not user-friendly at all. It is ashamed.

Hi just like to add, why on the free version does it leak my dns? Do you have to pay for that feature? If so then It's pointless having a free version. Besides, from that, speed and protection is good I think, but then what do I know im just trusting that it is? How could one find out that the vpn is doing what it says its doing? It leaks your dns so ive found and I think the ip address as well though im not a 100% sure on that one? Anyone got any suggestions or answers (developers maybe)

💫(RE-EDITED)Proton VPN INTENTIONALLY displays your TRUE IP ADDRESS on the splash screen to SCREENGRABBED MALWARE EVERY single time it reconnects to a new server. I think they may have a GOV AGENT in their org, bc why else wud they do that? To Proton: Are u NOT familiar w/ur OWN apps STARTUP "SPLASH SCREEN"?? It obviously displays the true IP, then obscures it with ASTERISKS! 👉 UPDATE to Proton: How DARE you call me a liar, when you KNOW I am correct! QUIT displaying our IP w/EACH reconnection!
