Description
This app makes it easy to order takeout or delivery from restaurants in your community. It also diverts thousands of dollars away from large corporate head offices into the hands of local restaurant owners. "Big" food delivery apps charge restaurants as much as 30% every time their own customers order food. Some restaurants pay thousands of dollars in commissions every month. Chow Local™ does not charge restaurants ANY commissions. Once you load the app, you will be required to sign in. Whether you have a user account, start by entering your mobile phone number. You will receive a TXT message containing a verification code if you don't have an account. If you already have a Chow Local™ user account, the app will require you to enter your password. If you forgot your password, follow the link to reset your password. Once signed in to the app for the first time, you will be required to provide a "delivery address." This address is needed to find and display restaurants in your local community. Tap on each restaurant listed to explore their menu. Tap on each menu item to view more details and add the item to your order. Once you are ready to place your first order, the app will require you to provide a valid credit card once you reach the "checkout" screen. The app will safely and securely store your credit card for future convenience. Chow Local™ relies on Stripe™ to process and securely store credit cards. Your credit card details will never get exposed to Chow Local™ staff or restaurant owners. To learn more about how Stripe™ processes and stores credit cards, visit their website at www.stripe.com. When you pay for your order, your transaction gets processed by the restaurant's Stripe Account. Chow Local™ does not take a cut or get involved in the transaction. This app allows you to order delivery or takeout. If you order delivery, the restaurant may choose to deliver the order themselves or request a Chow Local™ driver. Regardless, the app will allow you to track your order. Never had a problem with delivery. Apps a bit slow sometimes. Has less Selection than other apps, but I've seen restaurants on here Ives never seen on other delivery apps, plus they keep adding more all the time. Couriers have always been friendly.

Downloaded the app anxious to check out the local restaurants except you are limited to which restaurants you can actually order from. Say 40 some restaurants open for delivery but can't see them. Only can choose from 10 to 15 of them. And you also can't search if you're looking for a certain restaurant. And no clearly proximity has nothing to do with it as I had places farther away from me then a restaurant I wanted to order from which was located closer to me. Not worth it at all
