myVRN is about to the replacement the eTarif app, which seemed to be designed by someone who actually used it daily l, unlike myVRN. For instance, in the myVRN app it does not seem to be possible to register a DB card for 'Luftlinientickets', which could lead to one missing to tick it. In the aftermath, the online support claimed wrong ticket prices ~ trying to trick customers.

The new update is soooo annoying. Semesterticket users could easily see connections that include only trains that are allowed. Now it's changed for some reason. I can remove ICE/IC/EC trains but now FlixTrain are considered local regional trains and I can't seem to remove that option (since they are not included in the semester ticket). Now planning a trip is so much harder for absolutely no good reason. Please fix this!

The app is fine when it's working, but it keeps logging me out! Every few weeks, it will spontaneously log me out, usually when I desperately need a ticket because I'm relying on the bus or tram to get me somewhere. Most mobile apps manage long-term or permanent log-ins - couldn't this one do it too? For an important app that could leave you stranded or receiving a fine if you can't purchase a ticket, the authentication should not expire unpredictably. This has happened on several devices.

App icon broken, does not support Android adaptive icon introduced with Android 8 (implemented in less than 15 minutes). Square icon is put into a round icon on my phone. Hurts the overall experience as it makes the app seem to not support modern standards. We now have Android 16. This app is to 8 years behind in supporting standards.
