It's amazing how effort and though yamaha puts into everything they do, i love yamaha and lexus lfa, but for some reason the app doesn't work

Reading the bad reviews, I was worried this app won't work, but so far I had no issue with it. I connected the e-drums (DTX452K) via a USB 2.0 Type B male to USB-C Male cable to my Samsung S10+ and it works very well. I also tried my old phone, an S8+ which also worked without any problem. Now, the reason I gave it 4 stars, is because there is no option to save a preset of the drums settings. After you edit a drum kit the only way to go back to the default kit is to factory reset the module.

Doesn't work with LG G5 to DTX 432. I have tried several cables. Yamaha support told me that it requires Core MIDI on the android device.

Finally, got it to connect. Touchscreen response for many buttons and arrows is so slow/erratic that the app is unusable. Had to factory reset the kit as it made changes that wouldn't undo. Poor effort.

Does Not work on DTX430 kit. On android with OTG adapter and usb type B cable the old DTX400 Touch app works great, but the new DTX202 touch does not work, even with the same cables. Bring back the DTX400 touch app, or fix the 402 touch, please.
