The language and the tools this program offers are phenomenally helpful for managing snacking. In particular, understanding how to "warm up" for a snack and practicing checking in with my body to find my level of "want"/"craving". I'm grateful for the simplicity and the sensibility of this app, and also the invitation to be gentle and kind w myself while changing habits. I also love the Q&A Zoom calls that Dr. Jud does.

I wanted to like this, but was very disappointed on day 4 in the "The science of eating" section when Dr Brewer started sharing your typical diet culture propaganda. Does sugar stimulate the same brain areas of hormones as cocaine? Yes, but so do hugs, and I don't see any scientists telling people to hug less. When Dr Brewer then started to move into sprucing low-carb diets, I quit! Vilifying entire food groups (or specific foods) lead to eating rules that can backfire into overeating the forbidden foods or can become unhealthy obsessions, occupying valuable mental space and leading to self-shaming and other miseries. This is not what science tells us about eating! This is very disappointing and Dr Brewer lost all credibility in my eyes.

Their program is definitely not for those struggling with eating disorder of any kind. I tried the premium subscription and it only got worse. They did a good job for cancelling my subscription and giving me a refund right away though.
