The thermostat works great as a smart unit. I had the Eco bee prior to this one, but it was not compatible with the new HVAC system. I'm disappointed that Eco Net does not have wireless room sensors. That was another great feature Eco bee offered.

We have it attached to the water heater. Really well done, which is always surprising if a big company (Rheem) has anything to do with it. But simple and easy to navigate. Kudos.

The how-to guide is not comprehensive. Now I need to pay a Tech to come work on it.

It took forever working with my internet provider to get thermostat to work now 2 short weeks later it's disconnected from Wi-Fi. There's a terrible disconnect between stat and router. 5Ghz would be nice over 2 4

12aug2026- still terrible. Water heater says connected to the Internet... app says disconnected. 15Jan2024: The app is still utter trash. Hire new developers Edit : 10Aug2022. Still trash. Only follows the schedule half the time. Constantly have to restart the app to get it to connect. I wish it worked half as well as the water heater did. 3September2020: Now won't connect to my Wi-Fi despite NOTHING changing. Never again Rheem...never again.

A high price heat exchange water heater that has a poorly designed control system for water heating.
