The app is a bit basic and has some quirks, but it's nice to be able to see energy usage, overall health of the hybrid water heater as well as have access to scheduling and different heating modes. As far as minor complaints, I don't like that the capacity of the heater only shows as empty, 1/3, 2/3 or full. It would be nice to have a more accurate measure of how much is in the tank and ready. The other complaint is that the main screen doesn't refresh automatically (go back, head in again)

Rudd is an outstanding system for heating and cooling. The system is very efficient however the system can be a snart system meaning it is constantly communicating. The circuit cards in this system can fail more often than a standard system.

Love the water heater and the flexibility in settings. I am the only person in my house. I have it set to run at 6am on the heat pump setting and off for the other times. That's plenty for me. If I have guests, I'll modify. The only issue I have is that periodically it doesn't follow the schedule, and I find myself out of hot water because it didn't run. An update - My issue may have been because, the app was running on two phones for a while. Down to 1 and it's working fine

It never shows the settings of my thermostat correctly. You set the temp, and it doesn't change thermostat also.

This is an invasive app that requires WAY too much info just to control the thermostat. This app exists just to collect personal info for resale by Rheem

If I could give this app 0 stars I would. We got an Eco net thermostat when we had our new furnace and AC installed. The first one wouldn't connect to Wi-Fi, so after 2 weeks we had to get a replacement. That one stayed connected for 19 days before disconnecting, and that's the longest we've kept it connected. Absolutely horrendous app and device. Unfortunately we're stuck with it because apparently it's the only device compatible with our RUUD system.
