Good solid app Good selection of relevant local news. Adds are there but not intrusive. Very rarely crashes. Just wish it gives you a choice of being viewed in landscape mode or portrait mode.

Not bad I, for one, like that comments have been discontinued. The level of 'debate' in the comments usually left a lot to be desired anyway, and that's putting it mildly. Those who really want to comment on a topic can send a letter to the editor, just like the old days. At least that way it should force the writer to put some thought into what is being said, not just some knee-jerk borderline abusive drivel that makes a 6-year-old look wise.

Update. Credit where credit us due. Even if it did take a long time this app is finally at least respectable. Technical issues appear to have been fixed, and the content is regularly updated.

The Edmonton journal as a "paper" in my opinion is trash compared to what it used to be. Did they fire all their online app news people? They quite frequently seriously lack in the keeping it current department, often the same articles are the headline for days without being refreshed and updated. Why can't the Journal put some effort into keeping news current, not the same 5 stories that I read 4 days ago. Really, hire someone to keep the news app current and on top of current events

Since the most recent update all news stories are now black text on a black background, thus unreadable. This is across all Postmedia apps as far as I can tell - Vancouver Sun etc. Have removed and reinstalled several times. Running on a Samsung S21, updated, no compatibility issues. Useless. Postmedia is a very appropriate name for this organization, as we live in a post-media era, with most of the media completely useless. Don't think that's what they were going for, but it works.

Reposting and clickbait I had this for a while and it was alright. Updated me on local news, now it just reposts Trump stories written by other newspapers.

Used to love it this app Now that I see false headlines coming up just to attract viewers, then later on the article changes. I'm greatly disappointed with the Edmonton journal
