I use it to talk to my oldest son Michael, I can text him like he is home sent Pic and videos (I believe) . Or just a text to let him know he's not forgotten and that he is loved and missed ❤️ to make him have a better day is more than worth it. I know all the moms out there that have kiddos locked up that use GTL are grateful 🙏, For those who don't know how to get it or what to do if your loved one locked up your kids your wifey or hubby or even a buddy. Reach out if need help .

I put money on for a video visits, and they took my money and never they let me have my visits go through

Installed the app, put all the personal information in, verified everything they asked me, signed my life away, got logged into the app. Found the inmate, typed - sent a message and that's when it informed me that I needed to deposit money. Understood, makes sense, no problem. Click on the deposit button goes to the screen where it looks like it's trying to load something. But that's it, never loads. Waited 2 days, same result. App doesn't work.

I verified my phone number and my family members inmate number. After depositing more money they asked me to download my i.d. That is not safe in this day and age. I call customer service, and they say the prison wants the I.D. I was told from the military all you need is the inmate including your phone number.

The app doesn't do half of what it claims! Can't place money on inmates books for commissary, only to pay for messages! I can only send one picture at a time when I could send them!! Either better instructions are needed or a better app! Suggest the writers of your app try using it themselves before they put out such a lousy way to communicate!! Not impressed one bit!!
