Zhōnghuá Zì Jīng (中华字经) is a classical Chinese text containing exactly 4,000 unique characters — covering the vast majority of characters used in modern everyday Chinese. This app turns that classic into an interactive learning experience.
Key features
Tap any Chinese character to instantly see its pinyin pronunciation, radical, stroke count, Chinese and English definitions, and common word examples. Everything is stored locally — no internet connection needed.
Toggle pinyin above each line to reinforce pronunciation. Switch on English translation to understand the meaning of each passage. Night mode makes it comfortable to read before bed.
