HertsLynx is an on demand travel app which provides convenient ridesharing travel to suit your needs. Real-time on demand transport is a smarter way to travel, in an environmentally friendly way. Sharing rides reduces the number of vehicles on the roads, reducing congestion and CO2 emissions. Every time you ride with HertsLynx, you are making your town a little bit greener!
Book via the app for a journey in one of our luxurious Mercedes Sprinters and enjoy FREE WiFi and USB charging on your trip!
Using our HertsLynx app is quick and easy, once you have created your HertsLynx account, you will be able to swiftly select from over 200 virtual bus stops within our free-floating operating zone, covering Buntingford and surrounding villages. You will also be able to travel to six key town hubs: Stevenage, Hitchin, Baldock, Letchworth, Royston and Bishop's Stortford!
Once you have selected your destination, HertsLynx will use the latest technology to effortlessly match your journey with other passengers who are travelling in the same direction! You will be able to track your HertsLynx vehicle in real time from 30 minutes before you are due to travel, ensuring you know exactly when you will be picked up! You will also receive notifications when your vehicle is nearby!
- Our single fares start from as little as £1 (for any trip under 2 miles). -All concessionary pass holders can travel for FREE (Subject to T&Cs*) -SaverCards are also accepted - HertsLynx operates from 7 am to 7pm Monday - Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sundays and bank holidays!

Booked a bus 1 week in advance for a countryside walk. Turned up as booked and very comfortable. It's a shame it isn't advertised much as many people who we met had never heard of it!

Kind of a taxi bus cross between an Uber taxi and a public bus, getting you between any bus stops you choose even if they're not served by the same bus company, in the same borough, or found on the same direct bus route. It's like an inter-bus stop community taxi that costs the same as a bus ticket (or sometimes less) and way cheaper than Uber. If you've ever found local/county buses frustratingly impractical compared to car travel, HCC offer Lynx as the answer. Plus fewer emissions.

Would not recommend!! The service turned up 45 minutes late, and I did not receive an apologie, explanation or refund. It doesn't cost much however it seems as if I have just paid someone to waste my time. I think that at the very least you should be able to expect reliability. I personally would choose hitchhiking over Hertslynx.

When it facilitated the routhe between Bishops Stratford and Braughing it was a great service. But is now there is no way of booking (always declines with no availability on the dates / times) and no clarity as to why.

Dreadful - can't get beyond "territory source", once chosen you have to enter city and postcode. It doesn't recognize either Bunting ford and/or my postcode! Now it won't even let me post this comment. Why doesn't anyone running the service check to see if it can be accessed?
