I don't understand all the bad reviews, app works 100% fine on an LG G6 and G7, Our Quest 1000 does a good job with our 2 cats and 1 dog, Only sometimes it can't find the dock to dock itself. But 5*

IF YOU'RE USING A MOBILE PHONE YOU NEED TO BE IN AIRPLANE MODE!!!! I had a hell of a time installing the Hoover Quest 1000 app. It wouldn't connect to my home network and was really buggy. It only worked when I connected to the ROBART network directly. On a whim, I tried connecting while my phone was inn Airplane mode (with Wi-Fi enabled afterward) and it finally connected to the home network. This is essential and it's so ridiculous that they didn't explain this instruction!!!!!

Couldn't get my Samsung S7 to connect with the Quest 1000. Loaded the app on my son's iPhone and got it to connect to Wi-Fi and got the vacuum to work. But I can't get it to work with my Samsung. I expected more from a Hoover product.

I wasted a few hours trying to connect this thing (hoover1000 to the hoover1000 app). My phone connected to the unit, but when trying to connect the app (with the unit recognized) to network, nothing. Directions say the unit must be docked, but my network wouldn't even be recognized unless I started the unit (to get it off the dock). When I tried to connect it, it says unit not docked. So, I try again, start the unit, (so my network is recognized). Before I try to connect I send unit back to dock. This time it says my password/credentials are wrong. (I created my own Wi-Fi password and verified it as correct). I tried airplane mode, I tried the wps button, I reset everything (by removing battery from unit, deleting app and memory, also restarting my router. At this point I plan to return this item and get an item that works as advertised. If considering this item please think again if you want the app functions. Reading other reviews this or similar issues are common. The vacuum itself works as desired, the issues with the app ruined it for me
